About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Qualified Cook to join our team at SkyPoint Bistro+Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Work collaboratively with our events team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
  • Maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene, adhering to HACCP standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in commercial cooking, with experience in a la carte service and/or café-style service.
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation and presentation, with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with availability, including weekends, mornings, and evenings.
  • Good physical dexterity, with the ability to perform physically demanding work.
  • Good working knowledge and practical application of HACCP standards.
