">We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our support team as a Disability Support Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients who require support with daily activities, personal care, and community access.
">About the Role
">This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to clients with complex needs, including those with behaviours of concern (BOC) and autism. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, using your problem-solving skills and creativity to develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
">Your Key Responsibilities
">- Provide person-centred support to clients with complex needs, including those with BOC and autism
- Develop and implement individualised support plans to meet the needs of our clients
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Utilise your problem-solving skills and creativity to develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with organisational requirements
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
What We're Looking For
">We're looking for someone who has experience working with people with disabilities, particularly those with BOC and autism. You should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, as well as being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

">Roster and Availability
">We operate a 24/7 service, and as such, you will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekday and evening shifts. You will also be expected to commit to regular ongoing shifts and be flexible to fill in shifts for staff leave and pick up extra shifts.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
">- Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern (BOC)
- Experience supporting people with autism
- Understanding of trauma-informed care
- Ability to problem-solve and think outside the box
- Observant to the finer details; detail-oriented
- Well-organised and thoughtful, including supporting clients to plan for significant events
- Comfortable forming a genuine bond with the client
- Exuberant and engaging, with a mature outlook on life
- Ability to follow documentation protocols
- Full driver's licence and willingness to drive clients in your own car and in clients' cars/vans
