As a Clinical Microbiologist Laboratory Associate at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that prioritizes learning and development, and career progression.

The successful candidate will join our Microbiology Department at the Bowen Hills laboratory, where they will work alongside experienced professionals to provide top-quality service to our patients.

**Job Description:**

This is a full-time day shift position, working hours range between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. The successful candidate will participate in a roster that includes weekends and public holidays. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking a challenging and rewarding role in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of microbiology samples
  • Contribute to the quality control and maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve efficient and effective laboratory operations
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to patients and healthcare professionals

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior knowledge or experience in a microbiology laboratory or in microbiology laboratory techniques
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, and ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and work methodically and efficiently while adhering to occupational health and safety policies
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent customer service skills
