Front Desk Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Officer to join our team.

In this key position, you will be the primary point of contact for our members, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.

You will be responsible for greeting and serving customers, answering calls, handling queries, and resolving complaints in a timely and effective manner.

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. You will also need to be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and serve customers at the front desk and café
  • Answer calls, handle queries, listen to complaints, and direct members to the appropriate manager if needed
  • Use computer systems to look up member details, create access key tags, process purchases, and assist with class bookings
  • Help parents book their kids into childcare services when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the venue, ensuring the reception and café areas are tidy, shelves are stocked, and products are well displayed
  • Perform opening and closing duties efficiently
  • Follow directions, prioritize tasks, and complete duties promptly
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous customer service experience with excellent communication skills
  • A positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
  • A passion for health and fitness and an eagerness to work in the industry
  • Reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and good presentation
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, motivation, and adaptability
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to communicate policies and procedures effectively
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work hours aligned with gym operations
  • Australian working rights
