About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Coding Specialist to join our team at Healthscope, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely coding of patient data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coding patient records with precision and attention to detail using ICD-10-AM and DRGs
  • Participating in education and quality activities to maintain high coding standards
  • Staying up-to-date with current clinical coding guidelines and Australian Coding Standards
  • Contributing to documentation improvement initiatives
  • Participating in audits and sharing knowledge with the team

Requirements:

  • Australian work authority
  • HIMAA certification in Clinical Coding or equivalent, with a minimum 3 years' experience in ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and ACS
  • Experience in coding across various DRGs, demonstrating high-quality skills
  • Strong understanding of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) and current Clinical Coding guidelines
  • Proficiency in 3M Codefinder, TurboCoder, and PICQ
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills
