Aged & Disability Care Support Worker

At Uniting, we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the Inner West area. In this role, you will be providing care and companionship to older people living in their own homes, empowering their independence and improving their quality of life.

As a Support Worker, you will be required to travel to clients' homes and communities, using your own car. Your duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Helping with daily tasks such as housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
  • Providing personal care, including personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, and helping with mealtime or medication administration
  • Transporting clients to appointments or shopping trips
  • Accompanying clients on outings or assisting with our Healthy Living for Seniors activities

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Certificate III in Aged Care or a similar qualification, as well as experience providing client-centred care. You will also need to have a current First Aid certificate, a driver's licence, and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
