Job Description

This role provides guidance and support on all aspects of contractor management and payroll administration. A seasoned professional is required to oversee the end-to-end management of all payroll functions for contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee generation of client invoices from the payroll system
  • Manage compliance, audit, and risk management processes to ensure integrity of the payroll and invoicing function
  • Maintain understanding of payroll legislation and processes; interpretation of awards, and relevant legislation (tax and superannuation)
  • Act as a backup person to run a payroll if required
  • Provide practical advice and assistance to internal colleagues and client line managers on matters relating to the management of contractors
  • Work with Managers and Recruitment Consultants on preparation and presentation of PSA/tender proposals with focus on promotion of contracting and managed payroll services
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the contract period
  • Manage and communicate all legislative and statutory changes
  • Assist with growth of contracting by understanding client's business needs through workforce planning discussions and identifying leads and actual contracting vacancies
Requirements:
  • Seasoned professional with expertise in managing contractors and payrolls
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and awards
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
