Head of Manufacturing Excellence

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in leading manufacturing teams to deliver business outcomes. They will be responsible for providing technical leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all manufacturing work meets the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic direction and guidance to operational teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks that support business objectives.
  3. Develop and manage tactical and strategic plans to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes.
  4. Build relationships with key stakeholders to promote confidence in the company's capabilities and secure new business opportunities.

Additionally, the Head of Manufacturing Excellence will be responsible for managing governance and continuous improvement of key manufacturing processes, including Sales & Operations Planning and regular Operational Reviews.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant discipline, such as manufacturing, engineering, business, or project management.
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in manufacturing management, preferably in defence or heavy engineering industry.
  • Experience working across the manufacturing and project lifecycle, with exposure to innovation, continuous improvements, and managing change.
  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to use multiple leadership styles to motivate performance and engage the workforce.
