Communications Strategist

A leading hospitality group seeks a seasoned communications expert to drive strategic brand storytelling, manage PR agencies, and develop a comprehensive communications calendar.

This role presents a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in shaping the narrative of Australia's pub culture and elevating the company's voice across multiple channels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Custodian of The Pass brand: Grow awareness, build loyalty, and establish it as a content hub for all things pub culture.
  • Group-wide communications lead: Oversee PR, media, and corporate messaging across 200+ venues nationally.
  • Strategic communications calendar: Develop and manage a cohesive plan ensuring consistency across all channels and audiences.
  • PR agency management: Collaborate with external partners to deliver coverage for venue launches, renovations, and consumer-facing initiatives.
  • Media relations and crisis communication: Handle inquiries, communicate effectively during crises, and respond to executive-level requests with professionalism and speed.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and executive teams to ensure a clear, consistent, and engaging voice for the company.

  • Proven experience in communications, PR, or brand management.
  • Natural storyteller with strong writing, media, and content creation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple channels, platforms, and stakeholders with confidence.
