Communications Manager Role Overview

Shape the voice of a leading pub group in Australia, taking charge of consumer-facing brand strategy and driving group-wide communications across 200+ venues nationally.

This is a unique opportunity to blend strategic communications, PR, and brand management in a role that celebrates Australia's pub culture and ensures impactful storytelling.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the custodian of The Pass brand – growing awareness, building loyalty, and positioning it as a content hub for all things pub culture.
  • Lead group-wide communications across PR, media, and corporate messaging.
  • Develop and manage a strategic communications calendar, ensuring consistency across all channels and audiences.
  • Manage PR agencies to deliver coverage for venue launches, renovations, and consumer-facing initiatives.
  • Handle media enquiries, crisis communication, and executive-level responses with professionalism and speed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and executive teams to ensure AVC's voice is clear, consistent, and engaging.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in communications, PR, or brand management.
  • A natural storyteller with strong writing, media, and content creation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple channels, platforms, and stakeholders with confidence.
  • Strong crisis communication skills and a strategic mindset.
