We are seeking skilled professionals to fill the role of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, specializing in Defence aviation experience. This position is a key part of a high-profile project based in Sydney.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of aircraft systems and Defence maintenance standards, enabling them to conduct routine and unscheduled maintenance on Defence aircraft effectively.

Aircraft maintenance involves the inspection, repair, and modification of avionics, structural components, or mechanical systems, adhering to approved procedures and standards.

This role also entails troubleshooting and fault-finding, as well as ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Defence aircraft (avionics, structural components, or mechanical systems)
  • Undertake troubleshooting, fault finding, repairs, and modifications according to established procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, Defence stakeholders, and operational staff to achieve aircraft maintenance objectives

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics, Mechanical, or Structures)
  • Proven experience in aircraft maintenance within a Defence environment (rotary-wing or fixed-wing platforms)
  • Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems and Defence maintenance standards
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings and specifications
  • Effective communication skills for clearly documenting maintenance outcomes
