At Metricon Homes, we're seeking an accomplished Permits and Covenant Officer to join our professional team. As a key player in our Permits Team, your primary objective will be to ensure that all building approvals and covenant applications are lodged and obtained from developers in accordance with company guidelines and within the agreed timeframes.

Your expertise in Permits and Covenants will enable you to review complex job files, verify documentation, and guarantee compliance with Building Approval requirements. Reporting to the Permits, Covenants and Contracts Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain required building, planning and other permits within timeframes that contribute to set targets
  • Adhere to company procedures for the permits and covenant functions
  • Lodge covenant applications with relevant developers in agreed timeframes
  • Follow up and forward any outstanding documentation required for developers' covenant approvals in agreed timeframes
  • Obtain covenant approvals from relevant developers in agreed timeframes
  • Certifier relations and performance monitoring
  • Systems and data recording
  • Interpret and manage daily reports to meet workflow requirements

About You:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role within a time-critical environment
  • Highly organized – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities
  • Working knowledge of the building and construction process is an advantage
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a positive and professional manner in a goal-oriented environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and OUTLOOK computer skills
  • Some experience in using database systems is an added advantage
