Bloomberg LP has established a robust media presence that encompasses television, digital platforms, magazines, radio, and live events worldwide. Amidst a transformative era in the media landscape, Bloomberg Media is expanding its global influence through innovative initiatives such as Bloomberg Originals and the New Economy Forum.
We are seeking a skilled and versatile technical operator to support our operations on a freelance basis within our Sydney studio. Your role will encompass all facets of live and pre-recorded studio production.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and verify the studio setup and control room for live broadcasts. Manage live studio logistics, including camera movements and set adjustments. Ensure proper microphone placement for talent and guests. Facilitate the movement of talent and guests on and off the set. Communicate instructions clearly between the control room, directors, producers, and studio floor using a talkback system. Oversee accurate lighting cues. Keep the Director and Producer updated on off-camera activities. Adhere to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with other Bloomberg offices and affiliates to coordinate studio resources for live and pre-recorded productions beyond regular programming.Qualifications:
Proven experience in a live television studio or theatrical stage environment. Strong visual creativity and a solid track record. Ability to respond and adapt swiftly in a dynamic environment. Effective communication skills with senior news editors, producers, directors, managers, and clients. Exceptional organizational abilities. Fluency in English is essential.Additional Information:
