Freelance Technical Studio Broadcast Operator, APAC

Job Summary
Bloomberg, a leading global financial and business news organization, is seeking a skilled Freelance Technical Studio Broadcast Operator to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our studio operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of live and pre-taped studio productions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and check the studio set and control room for live broadcasting, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Handle live studio logistics, including camera movement and set adjustments.
- Check and position microphones for talent and guests.
- Coordinate the movement of talent and guests on and off set.
- Effectively communicate with the control room, directors, producers, and studio floor using a talkback system.
- Ensure accurate lighting cues and maintain a safe working environment.
- Liaise with other Bloomberg offices and affiliates to organize studio resources for live and pre-taped shoots.
Requirements
- Experience working in a live TV studio or theatre stage environment.
- Strong visual creativity and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English is a requirement.
