Diabetes Fellow Position

This role is a key appointment within our Diabetes & Endocrinology team. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join us in providing exceptional care to patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, participate in research activities, and contribute to medical education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing diligent and professional ambulatory care to patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders
  • Participating in regular team meetings to discuss patient care and progress
  • Contributing to departmental projects and initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Involvement in high-level quality activities and research to improve patient care and services
  • Supporting the development of medical students and junior doctors through teaching and mentoring
Essential Qualifications and Skills

We require the following qualifications and skills for this position:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification, FRACP Endocrinology or equivalent qualification, Medical Board of Australia registration as a medical practitioner with specialist registration in an appropriate sub-specialty such as Endocrinology
  • Postgraduate university research degree in a relevant field (endocrinology)
  • Highly experienced in managing a full range of acute endocrine disorders and emergencies
  • Highly experienced in managing a full range of chronic endocrine disorders including diabetes and osteoporosis
  • Training and/or supervision in Endocrinology
  • A personal area of interest in clinical care and research
