About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Coordinator to join our team at Sydney Southwest Private Hospital.

As an Operational Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and quality care of our patients, ensuring that all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost efficiently.

You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative department and wards to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline or management, and will have a minimum of 4 years of management experience.

They will also have a high degree of computer literacy, including MS Office, and excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee safe and quality care of patients
  • Ensure theatres are staffed appropriately and cost efficiently
  • Support and liaise with Nurse Unit Manager
  • Ensure understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality/Risk management

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in health-related discipline or management
  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum of 4 years management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years Human Resources Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budget targets
  • High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
