We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and cost-effective food safety, animal welfare and quality assurance monitoring and verification processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement quality assurance systems and procedures effectively
  • Conduct thorough audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues efficiently, including corrective actions
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure seamless quality integration
  • Maintain accurate QA documentation, including reports and non-conformance records
  • Support internal and external audits as required

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in a Quality Assurance position, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
  • Prior experience in a ready-to-eat environment or poultry processing (desired)
  • Strong relationship building skills externally
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, quality management systems and auditing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A high attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in computer systems related to QA processes
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Quality Management, or similar (preferred)
