Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to join our team and drive financial excellence in a dynamic regional environment.

This key role involves overseeing the delivery of core financial operations, providing mentorship and leadership to a capable finance team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, as well as statutory compliance, audits, and grant acquittals.

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Oversee statutory compliance, audits, and grant acquittals
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations, including rates, AP/AR, and treasury
  • Coach, mentor, and upskill team members
  • Partner with executive leadership to improve financial literacy and decision-making
  • Contribute to business plans, cost-benefit analyses, and long-term financial strategies
  • Implement and optimise financial systems, policies, and controls
  • Ensure strong governance, accountability, and financial sustainability across the organisation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar finance leadership role

Additional valued skills and background include:

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Experience working within or supporting local/state government service delivery
