Site Systems Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Site Systems to join our team at Broadmeadow, a longwall underground coal operation in Queensland's Bowen Basin. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating and governing our Safety and Health Management System (SHMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing technical support to site leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement initiatives to improve the SHMS, identifying areas for improvement and leading change management efforts.
- Provide technical expertise and coaching to site leaders on risk management, legislative compliance, and safety systems.
- Build strong relationships with site leaders to ensure adherence to safety protocols and systems.
- Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage documentation and record-keeping processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Relevant qualification in Safety, Risk, Law, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
- Experience with Safety and Health Management Systems, 1SAP, and Flex is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and influencing skills are required.
- Ability to collaborate and build positive working relationships in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
