Job Title: Financial Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to support our Finance team in providing financial analysis to the business through reporting, strategic management advice to the leadership team, focusing on driving efficiency, enhancing commercial insight, and improving both operational and financial performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Financial Planning and Performance Management:
    • Support planning and performance management of the business through financial forecasting, reporting, and tracking performance and operational metrics.
    • Analyse financial data and create financial models to support decision making.
    • Evaluate financial performance through comparison and analysis of actuals and forecasts.
  • Treasury Operations and Risk Management:
    • Manage weekly funding operations, currency transfers, loan drawdowns, and FX deal management.
    • Conduct high-level risk management including commodity & FX position reports.
    • Coordinate annual facility limit applications.
  • Internal and External Compliance Reporting:
  • Finance Systems Administration:
    • Provide support to users within the business.

Requirements:

A Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Commerce or related field is required, along with demonstrable experience in finance, preferably in the resources industry. Sound knowledge of accounting standards and report writing, organisational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
