Job Title: Trainee Outdoor Education Instructor

Australian Training Company is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Outdoor Education Instructor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers and staff with outdoor education programs, excursions, and practical lessons.
  • Learn and implement outdoor education protocols and skills.
  • Lead, instruct, and assist students with outdoor education activities.
  • Participate in excursions, manage student safety, and present activity briefings and instruction.
  • Apply activity-specific skills in various outdoor activities.
  • Mentor and role-model appropriate behaviors and communication for students.
  • Complete training and assessment requirements for the SIS30122 Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation.

Requirements:

  • Recent completion of Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Bronze Medallion Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Documented experience in outdoor recreation activities.
  • Presentation of a professional demeanor and good physical fitness.
  • Strong sense of accountability and commitment to providing a positive environment.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Initiative and ability to follow operating procedures and instructions.
  • Excellent time management skills, organisation, and task prioritisation.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Reliability and commitment to the role.
  • Ability to maintain supportive relationships with clients and staff.
