Hanson is seeking a skilled Concrete Operations Specialist to join our team.



As a Concrete Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our concrete plant. Your responsibilities will include:



  • Carrying out regular stocktakes of raw materials and other stocks to maintain accurate inventory levels;
  • Collaborating with dispatch and drivers to optimize vehicle schedules, meal breaks, and rest times for maximum productivity;
  • Maintaining the yard and plant facilities to ensure a safe and healthy working environment;
  • Operating a Front End Loader to efficiently organize waste management and minimize downtime;
  • Liaising with allocations teams regarding raw material deliveries to meet customer demands;
  • Performing minor plant maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure smooth operations;
  • Operating the plant to produce high-quality concrete products on schedule;
  • Balancing customer needs with fleet allocation to maximize productivity, utilization, and efficiency;
  • Engaging with customers to respond to their inquiries and resolve any issues promptly;
  • Monitoring orders to guarantee timely delivery and product quality meets customer expectations.

  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently as part of a small team;
  • Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues;
  • The physical ability to perform manual labor when required;
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and customers;
  • Ability to multitask, make quick decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing circumstances.
