Job Title: APS6 Mental Health Service Coordinator

A highly skilled mental health professional is sought for a challenging and rewarding role that combines clinical expertise with operational support. As an APS6 Mental Health Service Coordinator, you will play a key role in connecting clients to vital mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the intake and referral process to ensure timely allocation of clients to clinicians.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for couples and family counselling, including risk screening.
  • Collaborate with clients, clinicians, and internal teams to deliver trauma-informed client-centred support.
  • Manage a small clinical caseload and support internal referrals.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, program evaluation, and clinical policy development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess sound clinical judgement, attention to detail, and effective time management.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a solid understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • Have experience in assessing and managing risk, particularly in family and domestic violence contexts.
  • Be registered as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse with AHPRA, or hold a relevant Masters-level Counselling qualification and registration with PACFA or ACA.
  • Hold Working with Vulnerable People registration or be able to obtain it, or hold a Working with Children check or be able to obtain it.
