Support Worker for High-Needs Individuals

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and experienced support workers to provide in-home care to an individual with high needs. You will assist with personal care, hoisting, manual handling, meal preparation, household tasks, community access, and attending medical appointments.

This role requires two support workers at most times due to the complexity of care. Female workers with experience in hoisting and manual handling are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, grooming, and toileting
  • Provide transportation to medical appointments and community outings
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks
  • Perform household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
  • Support the participant in maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • At least 6 months' experience supporting individuals with disability
  • Experience in SIL and/or STA settings advantageous
  • Manual handling and hoist experience essential
  • Female applicants strongly preferred
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card (Working with Children)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • COVID-19 fully vaccinated
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
