People in Focus, a reputable Australian-owned Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage firm, is on the lookout for a dedicated Customs Broker to enhance our team of professionals. We welcome candidates ranging from newly licensed individuals to seasoned brokers who are eager to engage actively in their responsibilities, including classification tasks and client account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold a valid Customs Broker license and Biosecurity Accreditation
  • Expertise in entry preparation, classification, and documentation
  • Reviewing and submitting customs entries
  • Managing EFT payment processes
  • Requesting tariff concessions
  • Preparing refund and duty drawback applications
  • Understanding Customs Tariff and Valuation
  • Applying Free Trade Agreements

Qualifications:

  • Current ABF license with DAWR accreditation
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and analytical capabilities
  • Commercial acumen and outstanding customer service skills
  • Flexible, ethical, and proactive approach
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders for seamless shipment processes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Meticulous attention to detail
