Strategic Risk Governance Specialist Job Description

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for overseeing a range of tasks including maintaining certification as ISO27001 Lead Implementer, ensuring the successful maintenance and maturity of the Information Security Management System, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain certification as ISO27001 Lead Implementer or similar qualification.
  2. Ensure the successful maintenance and maturity of the ISMS and all associated policies and procedures.
  3. Ensure compliance with the firm's certifications, risk appetite, business objectives, and legal and regulatory obligations.
  4. Lead on all Internal Audits and Certification Audits, and manage any resulting corrective action plans.
  5. Manage contracts with clients including compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a qualification in ISO / IEC 27001 lead implementer or equivalent, experience in risk management in professional services, strong technical knowledge of enterprise and operational risk frameworks, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate records and reports of audit findings and recommendations.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of risk management strategies.

• Providing guidance and support to staff members on risk management best practices.

• Staying up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends in risk management.

• Participating in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Contributing to the development of risk management policies and procedures.
