Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Auto Electricians to join our business across a number of sites with the opportunity to work on various heavy mobile equipment.

This role offers 2:1 and 2:2 rosters with FIFO, DIDO and BIBO options from Perth and selected regional townsites.

As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of heavy mobile equipment including trucks, drill rigs, and generators.

You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing faults, and overhauling plant and equipment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance in line with manufacturers and management requirements.
  • Diagnose, repair and overhaul plant and equipment including but not limited to trucks, drill rigs and generators.
  • Maintain, diagnose and repair hydraulic components.
  • Dismantle, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.
  • Diagnose and repair heavy vehicle fuel systems.
  • Test repaired parts for performance.
  • Use computers and specialised tools to diagnose and repair faults.
  • Inspect vehicles and machinery for faults.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
  • A current and valid Refrigeration Handling Licence or Air Conditioning ticket.
  • Experience working on CAT, Komatsu and Hitachi highly advantageous.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
  • A National Police Clearance (Less than 6 months old).
  • Committed to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Be capable/willing to work shift work including overtime as required.
