Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in our SMSF processing division in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As an SMSF Accountant, you will be responsible for processing compliance work for SMSFs, assisting other team members, and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SMSF Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and taxation, with a focus on SMSF compliance and financial services. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of SMSF work papers and financial statements in accordance with all current, legal, and accounting reporting standards.
  • Liaising with the SMSF Auditor and resolving queries as they arise.
  • Identifying relevant accounting and compliance issues.
  • Preparation of documents for client meetings and assisting with client meetings as required.
  • Complying with lodgement programs by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting Major.
  • Completed or working towards completion of CA or equivalent.
  • Completed SMSF specialist course.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Class Super.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
