About the Role
">The Support and Guidance Specialist is a vital member of our team, supervised by the Trainer/Assessor and working under their direction. This role is responsible for a range of activities that support learners and enhance the student learning experience and educative processes.
">Position Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to students to facilitate their understanding of learning materials and concepts.
- Follow up with students to encourage ongoing engagement and motivate them to complete tasks and activities.
- Support the Trainer/Assessor in meeting VRQA compliance functions, including documentation.
- Supplement learning activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by the trainer to enhance the student's educative experience and engagement.
- Work in conjunction with Trainers and carry out administrative functions as required.
- Maintain a professional image and positive outlook in representing the organisation.
- Perform all other duties as directed by the RTO Manager.
Performance Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Hold a CHC40213 Certificate IV in Education Support or CHC40221 - Certificate IV in School Based Education Support.
- Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications as determined by the employer and a commitment to maintain currency.
- Be able to understand the content of learning materials and the processes used.
- Possess high-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative, and the ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Commit to supporting learning in an adult environment and have a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Be able to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
- Have skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
- Possess high-level written communication skills.
- Excel at time management skills and be able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Be able to accept direction, provide, and receive constructive feedback.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Align with the values of Brite.
Additional Requirements
- Hold a current driver's licence.
- Obtain NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children check.
- Be fully vaccinated.
- Provide verified copies of relevant Qualifications, Certificates, or other Testamurs.
