We're seeking a skilled Pipe Fabricator to join our team at our Garden Island site, where you'll play a critical role in the manufacture and installation of pipework for naval ship repair.

This is a varied and challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manufacture, and install pipework systems for naval vessels
  • Operate a range of workshop machinery, including hydraulic benders and threading machines
  • Work in a team environment to achieve project goals and deadlines
  • Develop and maintain skills of apprentices and junior team members
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality

Requirements:

  • Cert III Plumbing qualification
  • Experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
  • Forklift, Dogman, working at heights, and confined spaces tickets
  • Safety-conscious attitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in ship repair or heavy industry highly regarded
