Job Opportunity:

About the Role

The Indigenous Allied Health Officer plays a key role in enhancing the delivery of rehabilitation services to First Nations participants.

  • Provide cultural brokerage and mentorship to staff and students, ensuring access to high-quality health services.
  • Support participants in navigating healthcare systems and maintaining clinical areas, while contributing to research initiatives involving First Nations Peoples.

This position fosters community trust and delivers culturally safe health services.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, cultural brokerage, and mentorship is crucial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders is essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a health or community-related degree, Aboriginal Health Worker certification, or Allied Health Assistant Cert IV, are desirable.
  • A current Queensland C class driver's license is also desirable.
