Field-Based Rehabilitation Specialist

About the Role
As a Field-Based Rehabilitation Specialist with EML (Employers Mutual Limited), you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals return to work after injuries. Based in Western Sydney, you will be responsible for conducting face-to-face visits, providing workers' compensation advice, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized assistance to workers and employers through face-to-face interactions
- Offer workers' compensation guidance to relevant stakeholders, including workers, employers, and service providers
- Carry out community visits at various locations, such as workplaces or medical clinics
- Promote proactive strategies to ensure the best possible recovery and early sustainable return to work for injured workers
- Consult with service providers, employers, and return-to-work specialists as required
About You
- Strong knowledge and experience in rehabilitation and return-to-work principles are highly desirable
- Tertiary studies in Allied Health fields like Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Science are advantageous
- An Allied Health background is beneficial, providing insight into medical terminology and injury recovery timelines
- Familiarity with NSW workers' compensation legislation and regulations is essential
- Excellent listening and conflict resolution skills are crucial, along with the ability to understand the needs of individuals recovering from physical or psychological injuries
- Superior attention to detail, organizational abilities, written, and verbal communication skills are also necessary
- A 5-star ANCAP-rated vehicle, insurance, and an unrestricted NSW driver's license are required
