Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to support the preparation of tenders and proposals for electrical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documentation to identify key risks and requirements
  • Prepare accurate costings for tenders, schedules of rates, and proposals
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and suppliers to gather information
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing
  • Support quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with legislation and client requirements
  • Participate in pre-award negotiations and handover to operations teams

Required Skills:

  • Experience in the electrical trade with knowledge of construction and maintenance environments
  • Site-based experience within the engineering, construction, or heavy industry sectors
  • Strong understanding of statutory requirements, legislation, and Australian Standards
  • Previous estimating experience with knowledge of construction norms and industry rates
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • A current "C" class driver's licence

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant trade qualification in electrical or related discipline
