Key responsibilities include preparing customs declarations, performing procedures with precision, meeting deadlines, verifying data, investigating issues, evaluating options, and reporting accurately.

Key duties:

  • Prepare and lodge customs declarations efficiently
  • Perform established procedures with high accuracy and completeness
  • Meet time commitments and deadlines consistently
  • Verify data against predefined processes or criteria
  • Investigate and resolve problems or exception situations using available systems or equipment
  • Evaluate options, escalate, and gain approvals for solutions outside established parameters
  • Validate and complete accurate and timely reporting
  • Input data into company systems securely
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy of own and others' data
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and required approvals throughout processes
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure accuracy and completion of processes to deadlines
  • Work with customers, vendors, or employees to investigate or resolve issues effectively

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Licensed by Australian Border Force
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good reporting and data-management skills
  • Knowledge of customs clearance & brokerage operations is essential
