Job Title: Social Worker

Expertise in CAR T Cell Therapy social work is essential for delivering high-impact psychosocial care with minimal supervision. The role involves leading quality improvement and clinical research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive social work for CAR T Cell Therapy patients.
  • Provide high-quality psychosocial care with minimal supervision.
  • Lead quality improvement and clinical research projects.
  • Offer expert consultation and education to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in program development and maintain high standards.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to departmental policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Social Work.
  • Registration: Eligibility of Australian Association of Social Work.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in social work assessment, crisis intervention, and counselling with patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of developmental frameworks and the impact of chronic illness, disability, treatment, bereavement, and hospitalization on patients and family.
  • Well-developed time management skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills and high-level computer literacy.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build therapeutic relationships with patients and families and stakeholders within the health environment.
  • Commitment to professional supervision, building professional skills, and capacity, and willingness to seek appropriate guidance and direction.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, complete, and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
