Post Graduate Fellow – Haematology (CAR-T)

The primary purpose of this role is to provide additional training in Hematology, specifically in the area of CAR-T cell therapy.

As a Post Graduate Fellow, you will be responsible for developing your subspecialty interests in Hematology and furthering your core clinical skills in this area. You will have completed advanced training to become a specialist medical practitioner in Hematology.

You will provide high-quality clinical care, diagnostic and consultative services in Hematology at the level of a Post Graduate Fellow. Your responsibilities will include participating in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities within the Hematology Department.

You will oversee the multidisciplinary management of patients in clinical trials and receiving novel T cell engaging therapies. You will enrich patient care through improved patient education and enhanced screening for patients to access novel therapies on clinical trials. You will also assist with preparation of the CAR-T Clinical trials and Hematology unit for FACT accreditation.

You will ensure high standards of professional performance and contribute to an academic environment that supports education, research, and professional development.

This role requires registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognized qualifications in Hematology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
