Salary

A competitive salary package ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and management of the Museum's digital products, aligning initiatives with strategic objectives and the Digital Transformation Strategy. They will oversee the migration of digital products to a unified Content Management System (CMS) and the development of a standardized design system, ensuring consistency and usability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Embedding audience-led design principles by conducting user research and leveraging audience analytics to inform product development and digital engagement strategies.
  • Managing the lifecycle of digital products, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes to ensure performance, relevance, and accessibility.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to the Digital team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including marketing, IT, and curatorial, to align digital initiatives with the Museum goals and deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Managing relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital solutions.
  • Maintaining compliance with legal and industry standards, including accessibility, privacy, and security guidelines, across all digital products.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation by monitoring digital trends and emerging technologies to enhance the Museum's digital presence.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess three to five years of experience in digital product management, overseeing the selection and implementation of content management systems. They will be experienced in managing teams of specialist staff, have a track record of effectively managing budgets and resources to complete digital initiatives, and be adept at implementing product management processes, methodologies, and tools.

The role requires strong technical, analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills, as well as experience in accessible design, usability, and customer-focused design. A bachelor's degree in digital technologies, interaction design, business, computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
