Risk and Compliance Manager Position Overview

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our risk management and compliance efforts.

This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of risk management frameworks, Work Health and Safety systems, and compliance obligations.

The successful candidate will oversee planning and approval processes for school excursions and off-site activities, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and organizational values.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in risk management, WHS, compliance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational or not-for-profit setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, privacy, workers compensation and risk management frameworks.
  • Skills: Experience in policy development, compliance reporting, incident investigation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, high attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively and independently, discretion, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities

The Risk and Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing risk management frameworks and policies.
  • Oversight of Work Health and Safety systems and compliance obligations.
  • Planning and approval of school excursions and off-site activities.
  • Incident investigation and compliance reporting.
Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in risk management, WHS, compliance, or a related field.
  • Have minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational or not-for-profit setting.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of WHS legislation, privacy, workers compensation and risk management frameworks.
