Environmental Planning Opportunities

We are seeking skilled Planning and Environmental Scientists to join our team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to work on small to large environmental and regional planning projects, including environmental assessments, approvals, and project coordination.

Job Description:

As a Planning and Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for working on environmental planning assessments and approvals that maintain and create liveable urban and regional communities. You will have the opportunity to develop internal and external relationships, play a role in work-winning initiatives, and contribute to building your professional brand in the NSW market.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with government agencies and the private sector
  • Understanding of planning and environmental legislation, policy, and reform directions in NSW
  • Project management or project coordination experience, particularly with approvals pathway planning and specialist coordination
  • Able to distil complex information and think strategically
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to prepare policies, strategies, plans, and reports
  • Possess a passion for resolving environmental issues and shaping outcomes in the community
