About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Evaluation Engineer to join our Product Planning Division at Toyota. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the evaluation and development of Toyota products and accessories, ensuring they meet the highest quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of product development processes and procedures to achieve development objectives.
  • Support the development of Toyota products, ensuring they meet Toyota quality and performance standards.
  • Investigate and resolve issues relating to vehicle systems and related components, including accessories.
  • Support the planning and reporting of local and interstate testing to produce meaningful and accurate data to confirm performance and durability target levels.
  • Translate large amounts of test and research information into standardised technical reports to share with senior stakeholders.
  • Partake in evaluation projects, including vehicle and test equipment preparation, while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate and timely research data and reports to ensure sound decision making in respect to evaluation studies.
  • Help maintain reporting systems to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in engineering (preference Mechanical or Mechatronics, as recognised by the Australian Institute of Engineers).
  • Excel proficiency (essential).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record in successful project management and prioritisation.
  • Vehicle development knowledge and experience (advantageous).
  • Strong stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with all.
  • Excellent problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
