About the Role

Magdalene Catholic College, Narellan, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education and Health Teacher to join our team. As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching across all PD/H/PE subjects and creating a supportive learning environment that fosters the holistic growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach PD/H/PE subjects to students in Years 7-12
  • Create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Apply knowledge of diverse student needs to support their full participation in learning
  • Plan and implement effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Analyse data to inform student learning and progress
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on PB4L principles
  • Apply knowledge of diverse student needs to support their full participation in learning
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in PD/H/PE
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning
Desirable Criteria
  • Aptitude and willingness to contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College
  • Ability to teach Religious Education
General Capabilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organisational skills
Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching PD/H/PE
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy
  • Accreditation to teach with NESA
Working with Children Clearance

This role requires a Working With Children Check prior to employment.
