
Highly Skilled Senior Weapons Specialist

This is a high-profile role that requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience as an Explosive Ordnance (EO) Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing weapon plans for Maritime and Munitions capabilities, planning and preparing weapon integration activities, schedules, and plans for platforms, and supporting financial management, risk management, reporting, strategic support, data requests, visit coordination activities, executive-level brief drafting, and maritime strike and munitions activities.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience to undertake tasks of increasing complexity, including the ability to consider the problem, derive a range of potential solutions from existing possibilities, and decide on the best course of action to reach a cost-effective outcome.
Key Responsibilities:- Development of weapon plans: The candidate will be responsible for developing weapon plans for Maritime and Munitions capabilities in accordance with policy, guidance, and best practice.
- Plan, prepare, and develop weapon integration activities: The candidate will plan, prepare, and develop weapon integration activities, schedules, and plans for platforms, including technical risk, dependencies, schedule, cost, and Fundamental Inputs to Capability elements.
- Support, coordinate, and inform: The candidate will support, coordinate, and inform on Financial Management, Risk Management, Reporting, Strategic Support, Data Requests, Visit Coordination Activities, Executive Level Brief Drafting, and Maritime Strike and Munitions activities.
The role will involve managing and addressing risk, preparing contract changes, technical documentation, schedules, and other project material, supporting integration activities, including ship installations, conducting certification activities for explosive ordnance in accordance with EMB processes, and supporting the introduction into service of the NSM capability through MARBs and Seaworthiness activities.
Requirements:- Extensive experience as EO Engineer
- In-depth knowledge and experience: The candidate must have in-depth knowledge and experience to undertake tasks of increasing complexity, including the ability to consider the problem, derive a range of potential solutions from existing possibilities, and decide on the best course of action to reach a cost-effective outcome.
- Thorough understanding of integration requirements: The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the integration requirements both within support elements and between EO and other technical logistics disciplines.
Due to the nature of these roles, applicants must hold or have recently held an NV1 Australian Defence security clearance.
