Structural Welder Wanted

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Structural Welder to join the team on a significant BHP expansion project, located approximately 20 km southwest of Newman. This is a FIFO position on a 20 days on, 8 days off roster.
About the ProjectThe BHP Western Ridge Crusher project requires a skilled and safety-focused welder to play a vital role in installing structural components that power this major development.
Job Responsibilities- Fabricate and install cable ladder systems and supports to engineering drawings and Australian Standards
- Accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams
- Perform structural and general metal fabrication for electrical and mechanical infrastructure
- Weld using MIG, TIG, and stick processes
- Measure, cut, grind, and shape metal components
- Conduct quality inspections to verify alignment, dimensions, and weld integrity
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)
- 2–3 years' experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
- Proven experience with cable ladder systems and interpreting technical drawings
- Current Working at Heights, Confined Space, and Construction Induction Card
- High-risk work licenses (EWP, Dogging, Rigging)
- Manual driver's license
