A dynamic and challenging role has become available for an Associate Director, Market Risk within our Financial Services company based in Sydney CBD.

This 9-month contract opportunity offers a great likelihood of extension and the chance to work with a leading financial institution.

As an Associate Director for Market Risk, you will be responsible for independent validations of risk and pricing models for Markets and Treasury to ensure they consistently reflect true economic values and produce accurate market risk and credit risk exposures for traded and non-traded products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Validating all financial models, including pricing and risk models (including Stress), owned by Markets and Treasury.
  • Ensuring that models are accurately implemented into technology assets.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding and management of model risk.
  • Financial and numerical literacy.
  • Experience in derivatives pricing and validation of models across traded or non-traded market risk.
  • Proficiency in a programming language, e.g. C++/C#/Python.
  • Professional experience in quantitative risk management at a bank would be advantageous.
