About the Role
The Specialist Employment Mentor position at Workskil Australia Ltd focuses on supporting Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander customers by providing intensive mentoring to ensure their transition into employment is successful and sustained.
This role requires an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively in order to build trusting relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing intensive mentoring to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander customers to support their transition into employment.
- Building trusting relationships with customers through effective communication and cultural understanding.
- Working with customers to identify and address barriers to employment.
- Developing and implementing employment plans to support customers in achieving their employment goals.
Requirements:
- Experience in working sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build trusting relationships with customers.
- Strong understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.

A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience.
