Support Donors with Exceptional Care

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Nursing Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting donors through their donation process.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service, and the ability to work well under pressure. They must be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials, able to lift up to 22.7kgs, and flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.

This comprehensive training program ensures that you are well-supported throughout your journey. The training includes both on-the-job practice and online class schedules, allowing you to balance your learning with your work commitments.

This role involves:

  • Greeting and interviewing potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Creating a positive donor experience
  • Completing routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Setting up machines and collections equipment
  • Inserting and removing needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Monitoring donors post-donation and assisting them with rebooking their next donation
