We provide care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive aging and older persons' mental health.
About the role
The Pastoral Care Coordinator provides pastoral care, leadership and support to clients, their families, team members and pastoral care volunteers.
The role supports clients by visiting them in their own homes across the Central Coast.
The role requires access to a car (mileage reimbursed) and is permanent part-time working 4 days per week (30.4 hours pw) based out of our office.

Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can assess client/family's spiritual and emotional needs and develop a spiritual care plan.
You will provide spiritual and emotional support to clients and their families and liaise with relevant religious/spiritual leaders to coordinate provision of spiritual support.
You will also provide prayerful spiritual/emotional support to team members and distribute relevant material, articles and books as appropriate.
You will train team member in areas related to pastoral care, including boundaries, grief and loss, faith and hope.
You will work with team members to extend their skills in meeting the spiritual needs of clients.
You will participate in opportunities such as staff meetings, in-services, expos, and other events with the purpose of providing information about pastoral care opportunities.
About you
- You must be committed to engaging and aligning with our Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- You should have a strong understanding and experience of people living at home with life-limiting illness.
- You should have a strong personal and active Christian faith and church involvement.
- You should have Theological /Pastoral Care qualifications and experience.
- You should have demonstrated capacity to pastorally care for and enhance the wellbeing of those in need.
- You should have highly developed communication skills including listening, compassion and empathy.
- You should have experience raising up, leading and supporting a team.
- You should have strong administrative and computer skills.
- You should have access to a car, Australian's driver licence and comprehensive car insurance.
