About The Role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, you will provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in Launceston and surrounding areas. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity (4 days per week) that offers a competitive salary package of $80,000 - $110,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will work in diverse settings, including homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.
  • You will utilise assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximising NDIS funding.
  • You will build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
  • You will develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework.
  • You will conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
  • You will collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges.

Requirements
  • You must be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • You should have minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • You require relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field).
