Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Specialist to join our team. As a Disability Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently.

About the Role

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for providing personalized support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients.
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families.
  • Provide overnight/sleepover care.
  • Assist with medication administration, ensuring that medication policies are followed.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent.
  • Certificate 3 in individual support, or equivalent or higher.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
