Job Title: Contract and Procurement Professional

The role of the Contract and Procurement Manager is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of contractual arrangements for services and maintenance to systems and equipment engaged by various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing complex correspondence
  • Contribution to the development, implementation, and adherence to security policies and procedures
  • Maintenance of effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders including judiciary, staff, legal professionals, and law enforcement agencies
  • Providing specialist assistance to key stakeholders to achieve court-ordered outcomes

Success in this role requires strong leadership and team building skills, a deep understanding of contract management and procurement principles, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to collaborate effectively across government and industry sectors to achieve desired outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven background in contract management, preferably within the Australian Public Service or broader commonwealth agencies
  • Ability to conduct research and demonstrate strong written communication skills
  • Sound organisational skills, including prioritisation, meeting deadlines, and effective teamwork under pressure
